Call to Worship (courtesy of Ephesians)

August 2, 2012

From many different families

Christ calls us to worship and grow together

From many ethnic and national sources of identity

Christ calls us to worship and grow together

From many political loyalties

Christ calls us to worship and grow together

From diverse social strata and income

Christ calls us to worship and grow together

From diverse cultural styles, ages, musical preferences and body shapes

Christ calls us to worship and grow together

From various religious and philosophical habits of mind

Christ calls us to worship and grow together

Let us gather in the presence of the peacemaker who sets us free from ourselves

Thanks be to God

ok, so here I want to talk about the sacrament of reconciliation. The important point is that NO sin is just about ME – it involves others. Even if it is something like suicide (which I’m not so sure is a sin so much as an illness) affects others. Everything is social because the nature of God is social.
